The Santa Float Collections by Eve Miller

For the past few years, early in December, Ladies Circle have accompanied the Christmas Santa Float out onto the streets of Bushey and Oxhey to sing Christmas carols and collect money for charity. The float is driven by members of Bushey & Oxhey Round Table and from 6:30pm to 9pm the air is filled with everyone’s favourite happy carols and Christmas songs. Father Christmas is always on hand to greet the children, listen to their wish list and hand out small sweets as a pre-Christmas treat.

The atmosphere of “Peace on Earth and goodwill to all men” makes it a joy to help with these collections and underlines to us the kindness in the local community with so many people giving so generously. The Ladies Circle group of friends have fun on the night and fulfil a charitable need by giving freely their time in the spirit of Christmas.
